Kenneth E. Ring Jr., CPA, is a retired U.S. Army Colonel and a dedicated professional in military service, accounting and finance. A 1986 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree, Ken served as an Aviation Officer, commanding units from platoon to brigade, including an aviation Battalion Task Force Command in Bosnia in 2004. In 2010, he led an 18-man embedded combat advisor team for the 203rd Afghan Army Corps, living and fighting alongside Afghan soldiers during the deadliest year of the war for U.S. service members.

Throughout his military career, Ken earned numerous credentials and distinctions, including attendance at the Army Command and General Staff College, a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and certifications such as CPA, Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), US Property and Fiscal Officer, and Blackhawk Instructor Pilot. His decorations include the Combat Action Badge, two Defense Superior Service Medals, the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, eight Meritorious Service Medals and numerous other awards.

A committed leader, Ken volunteered to return to active duty on the evening of Sept. 11, 2001, serving an additional 19 years amid ongoing conflicts while maintaining his CPA and finance credentials. During his Army Reserve service, he also worked as a senior manager at Ernst & Young on the Eli Lilly account in Indianapolis, specializing in human capital and global relocation, and is an expert in foreign national and expatriate taxation. Since retirement, Ken has received recognition within the financial services industry for delivering top-tier CPA and financial advice, helping clients — from average earners to high-net-worth individuals — achieve their financial goals.

Ken retired in December 2020 and continues to serve others with the same mission-focused, people-first approach that has defined his entire career. He is a proud father of two daughters, Kacie (28) and Kellie (26), and grandfather to Kyler Kenneth (10).
